No matter if you’re a born writer or a novice, the sight of a blank page can be intimidating — especially when you’re working on a deadline and know that you have to crank out a newsletter article or blog post, a tweet or Facebook post, or some other form of content.
But I’m here to tell you that it doesn’t have to be that way.
Before I worked at Constant Contact, I spent my professional days in magazine publishing, and we always worked off an editorial calendar. That’s how we knew what we’d be including in each issue. If we didn’t know specifically, then at least we had a rough idea of a theme. That focused our thinking, and made it easier to find things to write about.
